Academic Skills Meetings can be scheduled through the Academic Success Center for all undergraduate students at UMBC. Academic Skills Meetings are a one-to-one meeting with a trained peer to help you build skills including:

  • Finding Resources on Campus
  • Time Management
  • Motivation Tips
  • Study Skills

Once you have met with an academic advisor from one of the offices noted above and/or selected a new major you must fill out and submit a Declaration of Major Form to the Registrar’s Office or, if advisor approval is required, an you can contact an academic advisor from your new major. If you are looking to see which of your previous transfer credits (i.e. AP, IB, transfer credits), please review your Transfer Credit Report. If you have further questions about your transfer credits or transcript, please contact the Registrar’s Office Transfer Services Team!
