Ben ColeAbout Ben Cole
Welcome, CHEM 101 students! My name is Benjamin Cole and I am a rising junior Biochemistry & Molecular Biology major with a psychology minor. This will be my third consecutive semester serving as an SI PASS leader but my first semester being the leader for CHEM 101! I hope to make chemistry relatable and easy to understand for students of all majors, especially since everything is made of atoms (for the most part), making the applications of chemistry and its principles ubiquitous. By attending my sessions, you will have the opportunity to work together with your peers to grasp course content and acquire study strategies and/or skills that will pay dividends in your time at UMBC. I can’t wait to see many of you at my sessions!

An informal picture of an undergraduate studentAbout Max
Hello! My name is Max. I am a rising senior majoring in physics. I have diverse interests in music, film, game design, programming, brewing, you name it. I’ve found from my experience that the most reliable way to become adept at any skill is to try it! Learning isn’t linear, and we almost always miss details on our first time through a concept–this is ok! The strategy is to try practice problems until you discover your gaps and then fill them. My goal is to help you do this in a relaxed, cooperative environment.
